Pet Gates

When shopping around you might see that pet gates are alongside with the baby gates, why? Because they are more likely have the same function. Pet gates limit your pet’s space around the house. It usually used as dog gates. It also has different styles if you want to be artistic and fit in with the design of your house.

Dog gates are used to restrict your dog’s exploration around the house and protect your valuables from being broken because of your dog’s pettiness. It can work best and also can be worse at the same time depending on where it is placed. It is also used to give your dog a very spacious place of his own at your house. Some use it also for training their pet dogs at home.


Types of Dog Gates

  1. Hardware Mounted Dog Gates
It is installed directly in to the solid part of the house (a wall particularly) to render maximum strength.
  1. Pressure Mounted Dog Gates
It is typically installed in doorways or hallways without any tools.


Advantages

  1. Like the crate, it can help you to potty train your dog.
  2. Your dog will have a wider space to make him feel comfortable more at home.
  3. It will help you to protect your dog from going to the part of the house may cause danger to him.
  4. Dog gates help you to protect your furniture from being scratched by your dog.
  5. It will prevent your dog from eating small things that might choke him.
  6. Dog gates are easy to adjust.

Disadvantages

  1. Large breeds may be able to jump out and escape.
  2. Dog gates are not expandable. Your dog is getting bigger he might escape.
  3. It is also a little pricey.
